Generally most motorcyclists name their bikes and usually referred to as ‘She’.
My first BMW which was black, was called ‘Black Betty’, then I got a silver GSA, so she was called Sophie.
In the meantime, I had changed the colour of the black BMW (don’t like black bikes, boring……), to red, so then she was called ‘Betty Boopster’.
As my mate called the yellow GSA ‘Big Bird or the ‘Yellow Banana’, I’m thinking, no I don’t think so, so have gone with the name ‘Blondi’.
At present the rear sub frame is away having powder coating done, as its had some strengthening panels welded in. The tank is also away being repaired and resprayed. So once they are back, in the words of ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’ we can rebuild it’.
Hopefully by Easter, Blondi will be on the road again.
