Crikey what a day, we left Calgary at 8am for Banff and the Glaciers. As before, the weather was damp and overcast, with low clouds over the tops of the mountains.

We stopped and booked ahead for the glacier walk and the sky air bridge, although due to a delay of up to 40 mins at some road works, which you couldn’t tell why the delays were needed, we made it to the central lodge.

As it was past lunch time, we had some food (crap) coffee (foul), only to find out that as we’d missed our time, we could go on another one but this would be at 4.30, so we decided to just go on the sky bridge.

This a steel and glass bridge, that leaps out over a sheer drop and not my most favourite place to be.

On the way back, we saw a wild black bear, before turning off to Banff. I have to admit, this was quite a nice place and had dinner in the amazing Banff Hotel, saw a chipmonk in the grounds, alot smaller than I thought.

On the way back, we hit monsoon like rain and massive sheet lightning, seemed to have rained everyday almost.
Long day 8am to 11pm, and driving a car is harder on the right than riding a bike.
