Day trip to Ellsworth AFB and South Dakota Air and Space Museum

After spending the morning on the computer, I decided to just take a day ride out to the air museum, the weather was warm although as soon as I’d hit the interstate, it was really windy!

I was riding along, when suddenly there was a loud pop and when I looked in my mirror, I could see a large cloud of dust behind me. ‘What the hell, rear tyre maybe’?

So I pulled over a little panicked but then I could feel that the bike felt okay, so was wondering what had happened?

A car had also stopped in front of me and a young woman had got out to ask if I was okay?
It was then I realised that my fire extinguisher had exploded, taking the whole top off.

I headed on to the AFB and museum and it was cool to see the planes on show, there was also an opportunity to visit a missile silo on the base.

As I was leaving, I could see storm clouds rolling in and after getting in, a huge storm hit with really heavy rain.
