21st July
Tiring day, wanted to make more progress, checked oil on bike, none showing in glass, so that’s probably why it was getting high temp, the day before.
Then couldn’t get the cap off, so the whole thing came out, filled up with oil then, got the address of a BMW dealer in Prosser and not too sure how long it will last?
Drove to Prosser, about an hour, they couldn’t help, so decided to just carry on, so headed back to Yakima, then on to Parkwood.
Damm hot today, I have too much weight on the bike, was concerned as the bike was feeling squishy, thought it was the tyres and they charge for use of the air pumps at garages and no gauge.
Checked at Parkwood and they seemed okay, will try and get bag of stuff sent back to Vancouver
Hi Heath,
Will try this again… Hopefully you won’t get the same message twice.
My name is Curtis. We met out front of the hotel in Packwood yesterday (21st). I’m the one from Kansas… talked about Geographic Center of 48 states.
I see you are past The Dalles.. Bike must be good then? Sure hope so.
Also read on your site that Minden, Ne. is on your list. Be sure to schedule for a full day there… Pioneer Village is something to see.. I was just there in June when I went back to Smith Center. By the way if you go to Minden you are about 75 miles from Smith Center
due south on Neb HWY 10. If you do go to SC be sure to stop by the cabin where the song ” Home on The Range” was written! It’s about 8 miles from Smith Center on Kansas HWY 8/ NEB HWY 10. At SC go east on US HWY 36 To US HWY 281 North to get to Geographic Center. It’s about 11 miles from SC. If you plan to stop in SC let me know. I can let people know.. A friend owns a motel there…
I’ll sign off now… probably talked your ear off…
Good Luck and most of all Be Safe and Have Fun!
Curtis
